My daughter would eat fruit all day long if I let her and very little else if it was up to her but luckily she knows she has to eat what is in front of her.

She went through a stage where she wouldn't touch meat and even now she will take it of leave it.

What I did was make sure she had plenty of milk, cheese and yoghurt in her diet and lots of variety with the fruits and veggies she was eating and kept putting meat on her plate.

Beans are really filling and so are eggs if your daughter will eat them.

It could just be a phase she is going through. Try and keep her meals fun and mybe get her involved in preparing and cooking.

Like Karen said it could be alot worse.

Well, it could be worse, she could only want Chicken McNuggets! If you can get some beans/lentils in there and pass them off as veggies, that will get some protein in there. Will she drink milk? What about pedia-sure or something like that that provides some of the nutrients she may be missing? Smoothies with yogurt blended in and she'd never be the wiser!

I know there's debate about "making" a kid eat, but I've been lucky in that my SD is pretty willing to try things and generally finds she likes it even if it isn't in nugget form. Good luck!
