Is it normal for a 17 month to not eat much or have an appetite?

Oh and another thing my doctor told me when i asked him about the eating he told me its like by us grownups,we also sometimes dont feel like eating or eating alot.I guess its only something to worry about when the child hasnt got enough weight or if he/she is sick and doesnt want to eat.

I agree with Robin if your toddler is loosing alot of weight to go to the doctor. But also my son isnt a big eater,he hasnt got a problem with the weight he is just rather tall for his age.He sometimes just snacks alittle during the day and i have tried not giving him any snacks(apple slices healthy crackers etc) after breakfast till lunch and he still wont eat alot at all. Some kids love eating (like me when i was a child) and some arent the biggest eaters. As long as they are healthy and getting enough vitamins iron etc theres not a problem with that. My son for example loves fish with spinage and potatos so i cook the healthy foods and he may also snack cookies and chips now and then.I am not a food expert but i try to keep a balance. Good luck

My little one has days when she will eat alot and days she will not eat anything!
Watch for weight loss. If she is loosing a lot of weight talk to your pediatrician.
