I am a single father with a 5 year old girl a 2 and a half year old girl and a four month old boy coming home to me in about 5 weeks(mother unable to care) my 2 and a half year old(eleanor) has been completely toilet trained for a couple of months however,in the last two weeks she has purposefully started weeing everywhere! However only with me,if she goes to nursery / family she doesn't do it,is it because she knows Thomas(baby) is coming home?it's upsetting and frustrating, I don't know what to do? I don't want to punish her( time out) as it doesn't seem fair on her.it looks like an attention thing, she grins and laughs at me when I ask her why? Please help? He's coming home within six week's, thank you x

Thanks kayla,I will carry on regardless, however I had a look at another post of yours about reward systems,I used these with my five year old, summer and they worked very well, eleanor the toilet trainer in question is far more outgoing and rough and tumble( only way to describe her :-)) I am thinking of these for her? I have only been using the time out step for a couple of weeks, I am finding it very hard to keep it consistent at the moment, as I am extremely busy, maybe rewards would be better for her? Do you mean reward charts etc? :-)

That could be it for sure. Kids can go from being completely toilet trained, then regressing because of a big change in their life. A new baby is definitely a big change for a kid! My oldest daughter went through the regression with toilet training, and I just remained patient with her and eventually she was back to no accidents. A little advice, you may have to remind her to use the toilet (rather than just relying on her to tell you when she needs to go). And, when she does use the toilet, reward her and make sure she knows how happy you are for her!

My son has been doing this lately too. I think it may be that we have had a big change lately. But I with I had answers. Sorry.
