I did try to get him in special school but he got refused think I might have to re apply cause I don't think mainstream school is suitable for his needs

Well, yes, a school can require that a child be able to use the toilet before they attend school. They are teachers, not childcare workers. If the child is not able to use a toilet, either he needs to qualify for an aide to assist him with his toileting habits, or he may not be able to go to regular school.

On the being "violent" thing, that isn't just being a naughty child. Teachers don't have to tolerate violence. Violence indicates someone could get hurt, and no matter the affliction of the child, that is never ok. You may write it off as being a naughty child, but if there is the potential for someone to be harmed, then that can't be tolerated.

My grandson who is still in pull ups at home and we put him into school in them we have tried everything at home and the school r pushing him to use the toilet he's 5 years old

What do you mean? Noone can force anyone to use a toilet if they don't need to go, so I'm not sure what you mean.
