My daughter, husband and I are currently living overseas. My daughter and I are US citizen but my husband is a foreigner. We moved here from the states because my husband overstayed his visa waiver. We wanted to get married so I could sponsor him to get a green card but he wasn't legally divorced at the time. He won't be able to return to the US for another 6 years. My daughter already completed 9th grade when we moved here 2 years ago but because she was enrolled in a French school, the better school I could find in this town, she had to repeat 9th grade. She did excellent like she always did. She got A's and B's. But she was not happy that she is in 9th grade instead of 10th. She thought it would be best that she took GEDs to get her high school diploma. She quitted the French school and is taking AP classes online. She will also take SAT. She is very smart and already knew which university she wanted to go to. My problem is I am sad because she missing out a lot. Her former classmates in the states just recently got their 11th-grade ring. She will miss high school graduation. My husband just had an open heart bypass surgery a year ago. He is doing fine but he can't live alone. Are there any moms out there with similar experience who would be kind enough to share their experience with me?
