About a week and a half ago, I began the transition from Enfamil Gentlease to whole cow milk 11 month old. I started the process slowly, giving her 4 oz of formula and 1 oz of cow milk. She never had any problems as far as spitting up and gassiness. The last 4 days, she has not been her typical self. She seems irritiable, veryyyyy gassy (as in burping and farting like a grown man, with an extremely foul odor) and she spits up on average abot 2-3 times a day. When she spits up, it smells like curdled milk and looks like cottage cheese. The cow milk is of course a fresh gallon of milk, which is specifically bought only for her. Has anyone else encountered this issue? She seems to be be bothered by something, and I believe it is due to the cow's milk. Has anyone encountered anything similar? I keep reading online and it does not appear that she could be allergic, she does not break out in a rash or have any signs of eczema, not even loose stools. I am truly at a loss here. Her doctor is suggesting putting her on Zantac and potentially switching to soy if we would like. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
