Transiting sleeping

Hi my daughter is almost nine months old I'm also 8 months pregnant. I'm trying to transition her from sleeping in her car seat to her crib(pack n play) before my other daughter arrives. I try to put her in there some naps and if she doesn't wake up as soon as I put her down she never sleeps long. She seems to love her car seat and that's where her and I get the most sleep. Any advice on how I can do this without it upsetting her too much? No rude comments please.

I gave that advice too.

Besides the fact someone clearly needed to advise you on the safety of your child even though you didn't ask for it.

OK, I am going to say that your infant should NOT be sleeping in a car seat. It is a safety hazard. There have been deaths caused by parents allowing their infants to sleep in the car seat. Not to mention it is bad for their posture and spine to be spending such a large amount of time in the car seat. So basically, I hope you have plans to not allow your new baby to form the same habits (for the baby's safety) and you should be stopping your current child sleeping in the car seat immediately. If you don't, you are essentially placing your child in danger.

I do understand it is difficult, but you are going to have to be consistent around placing her in her crib, and if this means less sleep for you initially, then so be it. Unfortunately, it is MUCH harder to train a child out of a bad habit than it is for them to form the habit in the first place, so you have actually made it harder on yourself by allowing this to go on for so long. Now you will probably have some sleepless nights on your hands to get it done. It would be helpful if your partner could assist, as you are going to have to put up with her fussing over it for a bit.
