Hi everyone.....I have avoided flying with my daughter since her birth (8 years) but the time has come that I have to do it. My husband refuses to continue the long road trips.

Here is my issue and I am hoping I can get some advice, guidance, ideas, etc.

My daughter has Cerebral Palsy. Sami is 8 years old and very big. She is actually the size of a typical 8 year old. She is wheelchair bound, non-verbal, has outbursts, and wears diapers. When her diaper is dirty it has to be changed immediately!!!!! This is what has kept me from traveling on a plane with her.

How do we change her diaper on a plane without disturbing other passengers?

I am always so worried about her disturbing others - even when we go to restaurants, etc. Sami goes everywhere with our family (she has 2 brothers that LOVE being with her). However, I am always on edge that someone will make a rude comment or give a dirty look and I will lose my cool.

Please provide any ideas or experiences with me.

Thank you so much for your time.
