I am 29 years old and my husband and I are trying for a baby. I couldn't be happier about this because all I want in this world is to be part of a happy little family but in 2005 I had a baby girl with gastroschesis and she only lived for 12 hours. It broke my heart. (it was with a different guy)
I just can't shake the fear of losing another baby. All I want is a baby but I am so scared. I know women lose babies more often than anyone knows and go on to have healthy babies I am just worried now that it is actually in a position to try again and need some help. Has anyone out there lost a baby to a birth defect and been terrified to try again??

My friend lost her little one to CDH at 10 days old. She went on to have another little one who is as healthy as can be. But yes, she was scared. Her pregnancy was very stressful for her as she worried about the possibility of another tragedy. But it all worked out for and it can for you too.

Not me personally but a relative of mine lost a son just weeks after he was born. Pretty sure it was a blood clot on his lung that wasn't picked up he also had a rough birth. My Uncle went on to have 3 other sons. They were really close together and it was scary for him. The second one has asthma so it did put him on edge a little. When the time comes just keep up with your appointments and keep healthy and good luck.
