Start with contacting the agency we placed her through. Being that she would not be 18 yrs old yet you may have to wait to contact her. But starting with the agency is the best place to start.

You might also try Facebook. I have shared people's posts on Facebook that are trying to find family. Get a poster board and write your name and that you're looking for your daughter. Give the date your daughter was adopted, her age, the city where she was adopted, any birthmarks or distinguishing features (hair and eye color may change with age), other relevant information you have about the adoption, and how people can contact you (I suggest setting up a special e-mail account just for this- for privacy and to weed out junk mail). Then take a picture of yourself standing behind the posterboard so people can read it. Then post it to facebook, and get your friends to share, and their friends will share, etc. You'd be amazed at how far/fast it can travel.

My half-sister that I hadn't seen in 28 years found me on facebook.

Be prepared that you might not find her. She may not know she's adopted, or she may not know details of the adoption, and the adopted parents may not share the information with her for fear that they'll lose her. But it certainly can't hurt to try. Good luck.
