I was on the depo injection for roughly 2 years and had my last jab july 2011, i started what i thought was a period pretty much after the 3 months was over but then i kept bleeding on and off ranging from 1week to 3weeks with gaps of generally 2weeks between. Me and my partner were having regular unprotected sex but nothing. I have now gone on the pill just to try and regulate my period, my plan is to stop the pill after 3months and try again which i have no idea if it will work but thought it was worth a go. Any advice or tips?

The last time I was on the depo shot it took me over a year to get pregnant. I just got off it again, but we aren't trying to have a baby right now. My advice, relax take prenatal vitamins and get an ovulation kit.

Sorry, all I've got to suggest is the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Wenchler, well, I don't remember her last name, I think it starts with a W. It helps a bit with knowing what's going on with your body by the various signs it gives.

I know the Depo shot is really hard on the whole reproductive system, so maybe you just need another year or so to get back to normal before it will work.

I was on the depo shot since 1994 (14 yrs old) and I was due for my 3monthly shot in March 2008 (28yrs old), I missed it for the first time in 14 yrs due to my bf and I driving across australia, I got a period around the time I was due for my injection (also for the first time in 14 yrs as when on depo I never had a period) and 9 months later(December 2009) I gave birth to my son. So even though the doctors had told me if I ever wanted to get pregnant it would likely take up to 2 yrs to conceive as I'd been on the depo shot for so long...it clearly didnt take any time at all...literally. I guess it depends on each individual.

I got only one shot in Jan. Was due on April 3012 for next one but missed it since we want ttc. I did not get my cycle back until July. Last month i tryed preseed lubricant and opks. My opks came out positive on the 28. We bd'd ever o ther day that whole week using preseed. I did have what I believe was implantation bleeding 3 days ago. I am due for AF in 2 days...so I am hoping thias worked. It is really hard to conceive after depo but if your cycle is back its a really good thing. You need to start tracking it down and use opks around the time you arr suppose to ovulate. I think thats what my problem was...we were trying on the wrong dates. And I have heard even if you get a period it doesnt neccessarily mean you ovulated. To confirm you ovulated you can use opks wich will tell you before you ovulate and to confirm you did ovulate u can keep track of your bb temperature. Good luck & bby dust to you.
