Hi, I am trying to get pregnant again, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to how to maybe make it easier, or more likely that I would get pregnant. Thanks for any advice you can give me. Evie

stop thinking about getting pregnant just carry on as normal except dont use protection when having sex.just carry on having a normal healthy sex life and you shouldnt have any problems.you should still enjoy sex it shouldnt become about making a baby so dont bother with charting temps and ovulation periods.there isnt really any fast track ways just let nature take its course!

*Count 14 days from the day you start that is a peak day for most women

*If you are having sex a lot that could do more harm than good - his sperm count could be running low because it takes a bit of time to build back up. they say like every 2 to 3 days

*Excersise the extra blood flow helps to put out more hormones in your body that carry sperm farther

*Don't make it a chore! You bodies can tell when it is being used for one purpose "to have a baby" and it causes stress and that can keep you from being able to get pregnant

*He needs to be wearing boxers or loose underwear, the heat in tight underwear causes a reduce in sperm count

*hot tubs/ and hot baths do the same

*Make it fun no appointement for sex (you know we have to do it this day!!! That is when i'm ovulating ect...) The more relaxed and the more you are enjoying it is better for your bodies to react the way they are supposed to to concive - So get a all night sitter for you other child(ren) and go out have dinner do something fun have a few drinks (or more) and let things happen

* Morning sex helps too (the sperm is fully active in the morning)

GOOD LUCK :) .... And have fun trying

My advice to you evelyn is for you to put your feet. Worked for me

I am going to try ovulation predictors. You can find them over the counter pretty much anywhere. I have been on the pill continuously for years, so I have not had a period in a long long time and have no idea what my cycle is like. I am going to get off the pill, wait a couple weeks, and then start using those tests to cheat. They come in packs of 7. Sounded pretty genius to me, rather than just shooting in the dark (pun intended). Good luck!

I agree with the propping up and laying propped up for at least 20 min after sex that's how we finally got pregnant after 4 yrs of trying everything else....

hi evelyn, i read somewhere that laying flat on your back and raising your feet, post-ejaculation, will facilitate sperm migration. All the best!

use ovulation strips, they are only about $1 each and can be ordered through www.baby4you.co.nz.....just like doing a pregnancy test but instead it lets you know which day you are ovulating :-)

You could use the ovulation test to make sure the timing is right and also, just stay in place after the deposit is made....till morning...find something to elevate your deriere so all the swimmers head south!

We tried Clomid. This drug makes you ovulate, so you know when you are fertile. My husband's doctor also gave him clomid, in men, it is supposed to increase sperm count to increase, increasing your chances to get pregnant. This works for us. Good luck

I went to an infertility doctor after having trouble staying pregnant. The doctor said first try having intercourse on day 11-14 of your cycle is your most fertile time of the month. (Day number one is the first day of your cycle, so count from there) after two months of that and your still not pregnant, maybe your not ovulating and an infertility specialist can prescribe meds to help you overies release more eggs per cycle. I have been down the long road, I didn't need infertility drugs but miscarried several times due to having endometriosis, once it was removed I had two more children. We now have three very healthy children. I wish you the best!!

Ovulation strips are probably the easiest and most convenient way of knowing when you're the most fertile. We conceived both of our girls this way and we were able to plan their month of birth. Kits come in 21 days and 7 days, if you're pretty regular, you can use the 7 days , if you're not so regular it's best to use the 21 day kit. They can get expensive but I was able to find a cheaper brand in Walmart, the dollar store, and the internet. Good Luck!!

Having sex more often will lower your husband's sperm count so make sure he stores it up before you ovulate.

I could always tell when I was ovulating because I passed thick mucus (sort of like snot type stuff in your pants). I then made sure I had sex the same day I had mucus. It worked for me I now have a baby boy!

Chart you temperatures and use ovulation tests. I used the website fertilityfriend.com to chart my temperatures. It also allows you to record just about anything related to your cycle. Good luck!

We tried for 2-1/2 yrs for DD and almost 2 yrs for another. We charted and charted temps every morning, also used the OPK's (Ovulation Predictor Kits). When you're gearing up to Ovulate, have sex at least every other day. It helps when you know your own body. A dr won't begin to help you if you're under 35 for a year, or 6 mo if your over 35.

If your ovulation is hard to predict, or the signs that you've ovulated are uncertain, you can work with your doctor to make it absolutely certain, using an ultrasound to be sure you're about to ovulate and then a hormone shot to fix the date of ovulation. Then you will know exactly which two days are the best ones for having sex. I have also read that studies have shown it helps to be gaining weight when you are trying to get pregnant. And there's a study that shows you should stay away from soy protein -- tofu, miso, edamame, soymilk -- because they have a slightly contraceptive effect on your hormones.

I had a hard time getting pregnant and my husband and I tried for over a year. I finally went to my ob and asked him what he recommended. He put me on birth control for three months and took me off of it. He told me that right after I finished the last pack of pills to have sex and it would happen. It worked like a charm. I have since then had another child and we conceived him the same way.

I believe in what Shonda was saying about acupuncture. We tried for 3 years including infertility, ovulation cycle, etc. and finally someone recommended acupuncture. It was inexpensive and I believed it worked. After 2 visits in 2 weeks, we got pregnant. Now we're thinking of having another one but I had a miscarriage last year and ever since then I can't seem to get pregnant. So what do I have to loose, we're gonna try acupuncture again. Good luck, hope this helped.

I know this sounds really unromantic, but take your temperature each morning and chart it. You will get a fluctuation when ovulating. Also if possible while lying on your back, put your feet as far over your head as possible to keep the sperm in for about ten minutes. These methods worked for me. I'm sure if you read up on Natural Family Planning it would give you a more definitive answer. Good Luck, and let us know if it works.

My dental hygenist swears by Accupuncture. I know it sounds weird to me too... but she says that both times before she visited the fertility clinic to get shots, she would do accupuncture about a month in advance & got pregnant both times!!!

It sounds like an Urban myth to me too... but I also haven't tried it. You decide.

Chart your ovulation and have sex during the peak days of your cycle. Prop your hips up with pillows to keep as much sperm inside your body as possible and to let gravity take on some of the work of getting the little swimmers where they need to be.
