Hi everyone,

I am new here but was hoping to get some answers or see if anyone has been through this. My husband and I are TTC, we've had intercourse almost every day. Last time we had sex, two nights ago, I woke up with an itch down there. It kept getting worse and worse, got red, lots of burning that felt like it was spreading inside and around the vagina.. in a nutshell, it's very very uncomfortable, I was not able to sleep at all last night and today I am walking funny. I am trying the home remedies like washing the area with basil (boiled with water), I even got up and spread some cold yogurt in the middle of the night, and now I am just putting some cold packs down there.

It happened because, I think, my husband has been ejaculating inside me. We usually either use a condom or just use the pull out method. Is this normal? I am against medications and cremes so I'd like to stick to natural, home-made remedies. But should I be worried? Has this happened to either of you?

p.s. I usually wash/shower after sex so I am not sure if it's me not being clean enough...

Oh, it could also be a yeast infection too. And if it you, you'll want to treat it whether you're against creams or not. Yeast infections can cause infertility.

It's likely a bladder infection which is common to contract after sex. Make sure you pee after wards because it will help to prevent the spread of bacteria into your urethra. If it is, you may want to see your doc for some antibiotics to clear it up. To prevent it in the future, make sure you're both clean before sex, and not have too rough of sex, and also pee right afterwards.

It sounds like u may have an infection of some kind, I would get checked by your OB Doctor if have one. They can give you something to treat it. and if are against taking them, they could tell you what to get ouver the counter that siuts you better. Myself after inter course sometime is proned to a infection and most time its a UTI infection. I use over the counter a urinary pain relief pill. It gives you some relief from the burning and pain. Plus i drink alot of water , cranberry juices to flush my system. You can get this some any drug store in the feminine care dept. Good luck.
