Tubes in ears

My two year old daughter has to go see a specialist bout putting tubes in her ears....what is it that i am to expect?

when i was a kid i had alot of ear infections and they thought about putting tubes in my ears and didnt which resulted in me getting a hole in my ear drum so if they say she needs tubes deffinantly get them

The doctor will look in her ears, do a hearing test, and discuss with you the option of surgically implanting tubes in her ears. He may also discuss with you removing her adenoids and tonsils at the same time if she has recurring issues with those.

My daughter has had tubes put in twice and her tonsils and adenoids removed (she has WICKED allergies). The entire surgery for the tubes takes about 15-20 minutes and they're up and about soon after. The tonsillectomy took about 30 minutes (because they also put in new tubes) and she was a little sore for a few days but was still bouncing off the walls. Each kid has a different reaction to the surgery and the medications. But all in all, it's usually a pretty easy procedure.
