My daughter is 8 years old, right after her 8th birthday, I noticed she had pubic hair, not much, but my only girl, young, I was alarmed. I spoke to our family doctor, who wanted her to see a endrocolgiest. So we did. Doctor came in listened, said it was normal around 8 to start getting that, but she was concerned about her height. I explained there is shortness on both sides of the family. She said she would feel better to run a few test. So we had some labs, genetic test, xray of her hand, etc.... Doc called about 2 weeks later. Said Tabitha has Mosaic Turner Syndrome. My heart sank, I was numb all over, tears run, as I listened to doctor tell me what could be wrong, whole in her heart, kidneys that don't work, mental retardation, learning disabilities, social disabilities, etc.. we need to run more test. Long story short, heart is fine, kidneys are horse shoes shaped, means she get more kidney infections, she makes B and C in school, and everyone loves her, she loves to be the center of attention.... and hand xray showed that at full growth she would be about 4'5" to 4'8"... with growth hormone shots, she would only gain 2" to 4".... Her appointment for her follow up is in April '14'... HOWEVER, I have so many questions.... one is 4'5" or 4'8" so bad, what complications are cause by growth hormone shots? And doctor said she would need estrogen to get pubic hair and boobs, that's why I brought her in was for pubic hair, and about 4 weeks ago she got her boobie buds, and has started cutting her breast.... ???? And her genetic test says she has both X chromosome, they just have extra stick on them, but everything I ready Sayers they will be missing one or half of one...? Mother lost just trying to figure things out... I know God is the only one who knows, but I have little faith in the doctors right now...
