Hello everyone!
I am joining to try and find out how anyone is surviving the tween years with their gifted child. We are seeing multiple issues all coming to a head...inability to speak socially to her peers (even in a gifted magnet)...inability to go to sleep because she goes over and over all her "mistakes" and has a hard time quietening her swirling brain...conflicts between religion and science...total immersion in books to where she is aware of all senses and cannot extricate herself...oh my! On and on...
Looking forward to hearing about your journeys with your highly gifted children.
Julie

That's nice you gave her the confidence she needed! Sorry to hear she is ill. Hope she feels better soon.

My younger sister is living with me and she is a handful!!!!!! But not because she's bad because she always seems to have stuff to do but she's not gifted my story is her friend is gifted and when she comes over its a bit messy because she's so clumsy one day she came to me and said she liked this Boy but he didn't like her because she was ugly I told her she wasn't but she insisted if I could give her a makeover so I did next day the guy asks her out and she says NO!!! I was so proud she told him that if he didn't like her before he didn't deserve her that makeover gave her lots of confidence and I'm happy I did it because all of a sudden she forgot about her illness all I could do was smile
