My granddaughter had an operation of her two front teeth because they were coming the wrong way. They were taken out. It has been almost two years and no front teeth are coming out. Any other kids have gone through this?

My friend's daughter was missing all 4 of her front teeth for a good 2-2.5 years. Nothing was wrong. They just took their time. If she is receiving regular dental check ups and x-rays they should be able to tell if there is an issue or if the teeth are just taking their time.

Also, which teeth were they? The middle 2 top teeth, the middle 2 bottom teeth? Need more info.

Permanent maxillary central incisors usually erupt around 7-8 years
Permanent mandibular central incisors usually erupt around 6-7 years

How old is she? It takes a long time for teeth to grow and erupt. Has she had a recent x-ray to see their progress?
