I had a c section almost 6 years ago. I wanted just in case I met someone and wanted to have another baby. I have met someone and he does not want anymore kids. Is the process any different?

A vasectomy is an office procedure, with local anesthetic and very short recovery. Having a tubal ligation requires general anesthesia, and a visit to outpatient surgery at a clinic or hospital. Cost: a vasectomy is much cheaper than a tubal ligation. Sterilization: after your tubal, you are sterile right away, after a vasectomy most doctors require at least 25 ejaculations and several months before considering the patient sterile.

It doesn't I would just like to know about both of them and find what's best. I know about a vesectomy just wanted to know more about getting your tubes tied.

It's a lot easier for him to get a vasectomy. If he doesn't want children then he can have some permanent birth control. Why does it have to be you?
