He may have a stomach virus. I would give him pedialyte and nothing else. If you are in an area where there are no stores open and you have gatorade on hand use that until you can get the pedialyte. My daughter(just turned 1 the day she got sick) and I had a stomach bug back in December. I called the Doc's office talked to the answering service and told them I need to talk to the Doc. Within 20 min my doc called and told me to wait until vomiting has stopped for 2 hours. Then administer pedialyte a little at a time. If she were to vomit again then i would have to wait another 2 hours before I gave her more. If she was still vomiting by the morning then she would have to go to the office in the morning. She had stopped. and had pedialyte most of the next day while we slowly introduced bland foods back into her diet. I never took her to the Docs office or the hospital. We did keep a close eye on her though.

If your son has a high fever accompanied with the vomiting then I would take him to the hospital. If not just give pedialyte or gatorade and call the Doc in the morning.

Coul be gastro, in which case anything dairy is not a good idea. Keep the fluids up. Even flat lemonade (my mum
s stand-by!) is great.

Sounds like a stomach bug. They usually go away within 12-24 hours. Just keep him hydrated and watch for a fever. If he starts getting dehydrated or is running a high fever run, don't walk, to the ER.

My daughter did this once and it lasted for about 12 hours. Every meal she ate come up and every bottle of milk. The gp advice was small sips of fluid to keep hydrated and bland food for 24 hours. If you can not keep any fluid in your son then you will have to take him to the hospital to be monitored. Most children are fine the next day. There are no drugs to be taken it is normally an air borne bug. Just keep an eye on him and give him dried toast and small sips of well diluted juice or milk. No big bottles as they will just put pressure on the stomach and come straight up. You know your child well if he shows any other signs of being poorly then take him to the doctors.
