My 5 year old son was on Adderal XR. It seemed to be doing pretty well. I could see the drop off at around 5pm. We had him tested via a psychiatrist and the ADHD diagnosis was confirmed and the test showed the 5mg af Adderal XR was just not enough. I think he was functioning at 80%. 10 Mg was too. He was up until about 3 am and stopped eating. He needs about 7.5 but the drug doesn't come in that dosage. The psychiatrist recom. Vyvanse 20mg. He has been on it a week and again the eating has diminished significantly, very moody, poor behavior, and making the pouty daces again. I'm wondering if this is too much. I'm going to open the capsule and try to divide the powder in half. Any suggestions? Also looking for a good child psychiatris in the Naperville area?
