Janell, the only reason i found your post funny was because of that statement of Sara in the bible having a child when she was 90! I am no pro,but i thought the ages in the bible arent to compare with the ages we have now a days. And i dont think that a 90yr old mother can be good mother for a long time. The other thing is, i never stated adopting a child in that age would be good or bad.

I think her post said "looking for support"!!! Of course there's always those "judgemental" know it all's that always have to give their negative response. My mother had me at a very late age and there was no problems at all. Of course there are things to consider like health and age, but if they can take care of and love the child, why does age matter and how is that selfish. It doesn't seem to matter if you're adopting at that age. The circumstances remain the same. A child needs to know that they are taken care of and loved. Who cares if somebody mistakes them for their grandparent!!!! Not to mention that we have tons of grandparents raising their grandchildren nowadays! People are always so willing to condemn people for doing something "they" think is wrong. Obviously no one believes in God anymore.....let's not forget, Sara in the bible had a child at 90!!! If God allows it to happen, he will provide whatever is necessary throughout that child's life.

I know a woman in their 50s can get pregnant..but i think a pregnancy in that age is also risky.I personally wouldnt want a child at that age,i wouldnt want to walk around with my child and everybody thinks its the grandchild. That would also be hard on the child. But i guess its something every woman should decide for them self.

Personally, I think it is quite selfish to start a family in your 50s. There seems to be no consideration for the child in a decision like that.
