For my first son I warmed up all his bottles where as with my second I just gave it to him at room temperature. I figured in the hospital that's how they give it to them so I mines well do the same. He was completely fine with it room temperature and it made it a lot easier once it was bottle time. He didn't have to scream for a few minutes while waiting for it to heat up :)

Okay, I'm going to agree that the powder dissolves better in the hot water!!

I read that room temperature or warmer is easier for them to digest. Cold, as in refrigerated, was more difficult. Of course, that was almost 9 years ago, I could be very out of date here. I would bring bottles of hot water in an insulated bag to mix the powder in while we were out. Occasionally the water got down to room temp if we were out for a long time, and J was fine with that. Sometimes he would get hungry really quick and it was still really warm. He was fine with that too, but I found the powder dissolved more easily in the warmer water.

It's easier to get them used to cold/room temperature so that when you are out you don't have to find a way to heat it up.

Actually, I don't think it makes a difference. My daughter preferred it cold/room temperature.
