Since i do not live in your climate; check with your doctor. I personally think no water is neded at this age if baby is nursing well, but only your doctor can say for sure.

Water at 2 months has the potential to be dangerous. I know in some really hot places it is recommended, but I would be much more comfortable advising you offer more breast milk or formula for thirst and keeping baby cool in other ways like Sarah mentioned.

No water under 6 months. Once your baby is 6 months old, it's okay to give him small sips of water when he's thirsty. Don't overdo it, though, or you might make him too full to eat well.

NO! your baby gets all the hydration he/she need from breastmilk of formula. To add water can cause decrease in caloric intake. In hot weather, dress baby very lightly and use cool water to keep skin cool. Unless ou doc says to give water, then no water.
