What about starting small like having her help you cook in the kitchen. Even if it is rolling cresent rolls or mixing eggs. You will slowly build confidence by praising her when she is doing her task and she will feel good when the finished product is something that everyone can eat and it tastes good. After she has accomplished this, move on to bigger tasks that you can do together. You will also bond with her and this will help you to have an open line of communication.

Thank you both! I am expecting a anew baby in December, so I am definitely wanting to crave out time for just us now, so when the little arrives she doesn't feel left out. I know she will be a big help, but every little bit of "us" time will help!

That's a great idea! I was going to suggest finding something she enjoys doing and spending time developing that skill with her - even if it's a new skill - perhaps you could both take a class in something that is new to both of you - a cake decorating class, drawing class, language class, self defense class, zumba - what ever you think she might enjoy - if you introduce her to many new hobbies, she can develop her own interests and that will help her find herself! Getting good at that interest will build her confidence - especially if she is better than you ;p
