Hi, I've been reading some of the posts in this community and I can surely relate to your situation. I have a 4 year old son and he was diagnosed with autism when he was 2 years old. In the beginning, he was anti-social and didn't want to be bothered with anything. He did not make any eye contacts and say any words. Since then, he is been going through therapies through Early Intervention program. TSS and BSC therapists have been visiting our home to teach him social and language skills. He's made huge PROGRESS as far as his behavior and speech, but he is still not there yet for his age. However, for the last 2 months, we are starting to see that his behaviors are getting a lot more aggressive now that he is 4 years old like jumping up and down uncontrollably, banging on the windows, walls and doors real hard with hands, sometimes banging his head on the headboard, not sleeping at night but running around everywhere in the house doing what I mentioned above all night keeping rest of the family awake, biting others if people get way too close, screaming his throat out, etc.... We are very much worried sick to our stomach. If he is like this now, we can only imagine what it would be like when he is 10 years old. Although the therapists are working with him, he doesn't seem to be getting any better... we are not sure how to calm him down... Could someone give us a pointer or helpful hints....
