My daughter stopped going to her previous high school in her sophomore year. We were planning on relocating from LA to a small really great school in Wisconsin, so we let her do Inde study for 2 months. After 2 weeks at new, much smaller school she initially loved she says she wont go anymore. She is on Prozac and won't try to make friends although she is quite sociable. She has had invitations to parties but won't accept. She won't come out of her room, won't talk to us anymore, basically refuses to cooperate on many issues. She will take her Prozac and will go to therapy sessions willingly. We just restarted all this in Wisconsin. I am very worried about her increasing self isolation and she simply won't listen to me when I tell her that isolation is the worst thing for depression, as is laying around immobile. She will have nothing to do with us. We have never had any serious problems between us and there is no divorce or family problems out of the ordinary occasional squabbles. She often says she hates us, this all started virtually the day after she graduated from middle school and announced she was no longer a child and was a teenager. I am writing this before school at 6:30 am just waiting for the firestorm when we try to get her to go to school. Help! The only thing that makes her happy is if I take her to LA to see her friends but by the time we left there she virtually did nothing but lay in bed watching online stuff until it was time to party hard with her friends (no drugs, this I am positive of)
