hello moms. My baby girl is 6 months old. she has been on exclusive breast milk. Am trying to introduce food but she has totally refused. I am forced to go everywhere with her. I am a stay at home mum but i do distant learning. I am to start attachment next month so I will live her at home. I have tried pawpaw and pumpkin. Please advice.

All she needs is breast milk... and if you are not going to pump or or introduce her to formula... you will not be able to leave her for more than 2-3 hours anyway... because she still needs the milk until at least a year. Solids doesn't change that. Heck, my son didn't go longer than 4 hours w/out nursing until he was a year and a half! ;)

Well, feeding solid foods at 6 months isn't going to change that because you shouldn't be reducing the amount of milk anyway yet.

Hi Jodi. I go with her because of breastfeeding. I have never tried expressing. She has refused formula milk too. I have been with her throughout the six months so she only breastfeeds.

She might not be ready for solids. It's no big deal. My daughter didn't really eat solids until she was about 9 months old. Just keep offering every few days but accept that she will eat when she is ready.

With regard to the being forced to go everywhere with her....is that because you are breastfeeding? You know that breastmilk or formula should be their primary source of nutrition until they are one. Solid food is just for practice. So you are still going to have to feed her mostly milk anyway, so that part of your life is not going to change.
