K, so I'm weaning my son this month because I'm going back to school. Hes pretty big for his age. Hrs 21 pounds. :O. At first I fed him every 2 hrs, then at 3 months every 3 hrs. And at four months every 3-4 hrs. Idk hoe come hes so big. I dont feed him that long also, when I take him off he still wants more. But he eventuallycalms. Anyway, he can take a bottle. I'm rather happy its not much of a hassle. But I was wondering how much ounces we feed him and how many hours apart? I'm using good start. And I feel bad for weaning, I want to keep at it, but school.

I agree with Jodi. Also, even if you use bottles at school, you can still breastfeed when you're home with your baby, even if it's only once a day. Breastfeeding is not an all-or-nothing venture. Your body will continue to make as much milk as your baby needs. Hopefully some other ladies can help you out with the ounces.. I'm not sure about that.

Shawna, have you considered pumping your breastmilk for him? That way, you could continue to breast feed him when you are at home, and he could still have your breastmilk in a bottle when you aren't.
