Hello! I have had an increase in appetite. Its on and off but i have gained about 7lbs from the 20 i had lost after giving birth to my babe. I am breastfeeding so I know I cant really diet as I need the extra calories. However, i really want to lose the whole 30 lbs i gained and I was so happy that I was almost there.

Help! What can I do?

Hy mommies my baby is approaching 7 months already, I breastfeed at night from 17:00 daily till morning on request. Although I seem to struggle shredding the weight off, I joined gym and couldn't keep up because I come late from work.I lost 4 Kg in the process. Some say I won't get back to my pre pregnancy weight. Is it true? I think the thought really getsto me.

Thanks Marica for the encouragement. Breastfeeding is definitely more important. I started working out after my clearance from my OB, hopefully it will help me out. I'll just have to try and control my super hungry days.

Senay, i found this youtube channel which I started this past week to see if it helps. She's really good and the workouts had me sore so I am hoping it helps out. Its http://www.momsintofitness.com/ , go to her youtube channel and she has a free 30day workout for post partum core strenthening and cardio.

If it didn't effect your breast production, you can lose it if you really want to. I breast fed my son up to age 3.5! I held onto the weight by eating a convenient diet, and I was always hungry, so I didn't try hard. But like you, I really longed to be thin again and wear my before pregnancy clothes. It was hard, but I started replacing one of my meals with a healthy smoothie. Kale, orange, 1 lime, mango, celery and add more if you want. That turned into replacing 2 meals. When I stopped breast feeding I went on a 5 day juice and smoothie cleanse. I dropped 3 kg. In the first 3 days and total of 4kg in 5 days. This reset my system. I no longer ate convenient food and made meat and veggie stews for the whole family. We now all drink those green smoothies. I am thinner than I was before I got pregnant and loving it. If I go on a road trip or a holiday, I easily put weight on, but when I come home I re-set again with a 3 day cleanse. It's hard the first 2-3 days then it's easy and I feel fabulous! It's possible to do it, when your ready. But it's not worth jeopardising your milk for a hot body, your kid will stop breast feeding and grow up, you have tons of time to be thin and gorgeous again. Embrace your softness, it won't last. There is nothing to fear except time, which passes quickly, before you know it, your kid is grown up.
You have time for you again.
