OK - he's stopped gaining
So, a few more questions. What does he eat? How often and or how much? How much does he weigh now and what were his most recent weights? How long's it been since he gained some weight?
At 7 months old, a baby should still be getting almost all of his nutrition from the breast, or from formula. Food is for fun until they're one. Most solid foods are lower in calories than breast milk or formula. There are a few exceptions such as avocado. See if you can work some into his diet.
What has his Dr said about weight gain?
Many babies around 8 or 9 months become very easily distracted and don't want to take the time out of their busy day to eat. It's possible your baby is hitting this milestone a bit early. You may need to feed smaller amounts more frequently. If you are breastfeeding, try darkening the room and removing as many distractions as possible before latching baby on.
