My daughter is four months about to be five in a couple of weeks , what age should she start sitting up on her own ( she tries to ) and what age should she crawl ? I put her on her stomach often on the bed and at first she would scoot but now she doesn't . How can I help her sit up and crawl ? Also I wanted to know is it normal for her to still want to be wrapped tightly like when she was first born , she's super spoiled so she will only stay sleep for like two minutes on her own but like I said early she has to be wrapped tight . Am I hindering my daughter ? because when I sleep with her I cuddle with her in my arms all night long .

Well, she may not be able to get herself into a sitting position on her own until after 8-9 months...maybe sooner...each child is different. But you can certainly sit her up and support her. Usually good head support is at about 5 months. Crawling can come around the same time they can get themselves into a sitting position, but some babies NEVER crawl. Just go by her cues.

You cannot spoil a baby. And no you are not hindering your daughter. it will make it more difficult for you in the long run to get a full night sleep, but she will sleep wonderfully. My daughter was the same way, and many nights I still need to hold her...or at the least rock her to sleep. if you don't have a problem with it, don't let others make you FEEL like there is a problem.

My nephew was swaddled until he was a year. It worked for them.

As for sitting up and crawling... it depends. There is a wide range of 'normal' when it comes to developmental milestones. From what you've said... she sounds just fine. Make sure you never leave her unattended on a raised surface (I'm sure you don't, but just want to reaffirm). At 4 months... you can't spoil a baby. Love on her as much as you want and as much as she will let you. They grow all too fast.
