What are my parental rights when it comes to dental/medical issues?

Recently my 3 yr old needed additional dental work done and due to her age was referred to a pediatric dentist. When we arrived for this appt. it was the worst experience ever. Not only were they rude at check-in, all the staff including hygenist and dr were rude and arrogant bastards, but when they came to get her they refused me access to go with her. After the initial exam they wanted my consent to restrain her. I refused, but when she came out there was some markings on her that would say otherwise. When I aske the dr why they have such a ridiculous policy of refusing the parents access. He responded with "if you don't like it, go somewhere else". (knowing that he's the only ped within the area). I consented to 2 teeth getting worked on and it looks like they did other work as well. I have already talked to our family dentist about him finishing but with insurance and since this was a referral he needs to finish what he started.

I know that my parental rights state that I have to right to comfort my child, but how do I enforce this. Unfortunately we gotta go back in a couple weeks to do another tooth. I already considered filing against his license but then how am I going to get the work done she needs?

Sometimes they like to not have the parent in there cuz it might make it easier on the kid, but I would NOT go to a doctor/dentist that did not allow me to be w/ my child if I felt it was needed (I've never not been in the room yet). If they are the only pediatric dentist around.... I'd be going back to the referring doctor over and over and over again until they found me someplace else to go.
