Hello, I'm a 31 year old single mother going through a divorce (mutual agreement), I've been separated from my husband for over a yr, our divorce is not final but it will be soon, he is aware i am looking to move out of state. I am currently living in North Jersey and i can't take it anymore, i have been wanting to move for the past 5 years. I am an experienced Medical Biller (6 years), with management skills. i have researched Jacksonville Florida for Months but the hourly rate for a Medical Billing is extremely low. I would love the to live near/close to the beach. If anyone could guide me i would be greatly appreciated.

Try this for comparison. The column next to the city name is the overall percentage of the national average COL.

So, Jacksonville, for example falls in around 92% (lower COL there) than average. Versus, say, Palm Springs, CA, which is coming in at 121%...wow, cali is expensive...

At least you'd have a better idea of the averages for the areas in which you're looking...

Another thing to consider is the custody/visitation angle...you don't want it to be problematic for transfer of your kiddo.

I have and I must say the options are great because of the location but not too sure about the pay rate. Thanks for your response.

Perhaps some internet searches involving cost of living in different areas would be a good place to start.
