My friend just found out she's having a baby and I'm doing the baby shower. Well I had my baby shower at 6 months pregnant so I would have the energy to do it and so I had time to finish getting everything I might need that I didnt get. She's not sure if she wants to do it early because her family critisizes everything and apparently believes you have to wait til you're ready to pop.

I'm just looking for opinions on when the best time to do a baby shower would be so I know if I should wait or I could show her that I'm not the only one who thinks it better to do it kinda early.... Thanks in advance.

That's what I've been trying to tell her (hence why Im asking for non judgemental outside opinions cause her family can be hateful when they think they are right).. A friend of mine that was pregnant when I was missed hers because she went into labor at 8 months... Personally I just didnt wanna have to deal with that many people while I was huge and I knew from the beginning that I wouldn't lol. thank you for your opinion (:

I had mine at around 6 months. It was because it was summer then and there were so many people to invite that we could then do it in a park. I mainly got hand me downs anyway, not that I minded. I even technically had two. The seniors that were in my husband's water aerobics class bought us enough diapers to last us 4 months; they presented it to us at a senior potluck they were having at the comunity center.

Both of those were around 6-7 months.

I've heard of some women missing out on their own baby shower because the baby came early. Honestly the latest I would do it would be at the beginning of 8 months.
