What brands don't contain the protein in cows milk?

He's almost 4 and has had eczema behind his leg really bad and what looked like a heat rash to me, turns out he's allergic to the protein in cows milk. He loves cheese and milk so it's hard to take it away and I often catch him eating cheese. Anybody know of brands that don't contain this?

Rice milk is great! I discovered my son's dairy allergy within two weeks of bringing him home from the hospital. After having to eliminate dairy from my diet in order to keep breast feeding, then buying the expensive Nutramegin formula, rice milk was a complete blessing. You can give soy cheese a try, but my son reacts the same way to soy as he does to cow's milk. One allergist told me the body reacts the same because it can't distinguish between the two proteins because they are the same size. ? Anyway, I haven't found any solution for things like cheese and yogurt besides just elimination. But make sure that you supplement with plenty of calcium rich veggies.

Well, it's a cow's milk protein. There is no cow's milk without the proteins......

You are going to have to try rice milk, almond milk, soy milk (although I'm a bit skeptical about soy milk), any substitute not containing animal proteins. Goat's and sheep's milk still contain animal proteins that he will probably be allergic to, so they won't be an option either. Not sure cheese will ever be an option.
