I don't have a lot of money but I do feel its my duty to make his second birthday since I didnt do anything for his first birthday :-(! Any ideas im open

I would just do something small with family if you have family nearby like go to the zoo, an aquarium, go out for ice cream. My sister-in-law throws these huge parties for my nephews, one is turning 4 next month and the other is going to be 2 in July BUT the older one didn't really "get" or even care about the whole birthday thing until his 3rd birthday he asked for a Star Wars theme. I think you can get away with doing something small until next year when he will have better communication skills, possibly friends (you can use meetup.com to find mommy groups and play dates or keep your eyes and ears open for local moms), and more interests. I'm not planning on doing big birthday parties until at least 5, something small for 3 and 4 and probably just a trip to the zoo or something like that for the first and second. There's no need to have an extravagant bash for a 2 year old. He will be just fine with a simple trip to the zoo and a birthday ice cream cone or cupcake. :)
