I need advice please for my baby she's almost two months old and she is so attached to me which makes me feel extremely special ,but during the day i basicly hold her all day because she doesnt like to be put down for too long i really don't mind but at night she still wants me to hold her or just stay right beside me which means i cant place her in her crib.i dont mind but its not really safe for her because my husband my baby and me are in a full size bed i feel like maybe we will throw the blanket over her face in our sleep or squish her idk and i've read during the day place your baby on a sling to be hands free but that won't help for night time i don't know what to do i don't like the cry it out methods neitheri couldnt take listening to her cry.

Can you put her crib right by your bed? Or get a co-sleeper bed thing? If you don't want her in your bed... I'd try one of those options.

CIO is NOT for me and if you do it.... 2 months is way too young anyway.

Hang in there! This stage is really rough, but it does not last forever.

CIO= cry it out and leaving a 2 month old to do that is damaging to their brains.... and heartbreaking.

Patience and ear plugs!

Seriously, they cry for so many reasons, it's hard to determine WHY they are crying! Eliminate all possibilities, diaper, cold, hot, hungry and then place her in her crib, talk to her soothingly, pat her gently and start removing yourself from her prescence. She will cry, don't doubt it. But you need to be strong. Get a little bouncer and place her on the table while you do things around the kitchen, constantly touch her and remind her you are there.

It's really hard being a first time Mommy, but if YOU are tired, cranky or irratable, what good are you going to be for her?
