Sleep patterns change all the time, just when you think you have it made your little one is going to throw you for a loop. Things that affect a child's sleep: I'd they are learning or mastering something new they wake frequently to practice/master it, teething, and growth spurts are the major things to consider. It's tiring but it won't last forever, my daughter used to wake 8+ times a night while teething, it was exhausting but she was in pain and needed comforting.

Newborn babies sleep a lot, babies not so much, they have small stomachs and need feeding regularly which is why they wake so often. Totally normal, I know it's stressful at times but it won't last forever and they are only this small for such a short time, enjoy the midnight snuggles.
