I need help in obtaining a good lawyer in the Pinellas County Florida area for my almost 18 year old son, whom was just recently diagnosed with a level 2 autism spectrum disorder and is being denied help from ADP an organization that should provide help for job coaching, behavior mod and medicaid waivers to help him adjust to adulthood and live on his own! I am so upset right now. I have jumped through all the hoops they told me to jump through in order to obtain this help and now they are telling me NO, doesnt qualify. Really? They only help severe autistic people? What to work? Severe cases can't work, they must be supervised and cared for and live in a special home with special care givers. How can a severer autistic person live on their own and work? Isn't the job coaching and help for those who want to work but can't do it without the xtra help? I DON'T UNDERSTAND.
