We are receiving daily complaints about the behavior of our son at daycare. He is hitting, biting, butting, and throwing toys at the other children. Mostly if they touch one of his favorite toys he will do this. He hit a little boy over the head with a xylophone so hard the poor little boy had a knot on his forehead the size of Texas! The boy's mother has never brought him back to the daycare. We are trying everything we can think of but nothing seems to be working, time out, removing toys, telling him hitting is not allowed. I have even tried spanking him, it may seem contradictory but I thought if he felt what it feel like to be hit he may not want to do it again. I am at my wits end. I am quite sure he is only allowed to the daycare because of the relationship we have with the daycare provider (my 4 yr old daughter has been there since she was 1). Can anyone please help!?
