what can I give my 2year old daughter for diarrhea

Traditionally what was recommended was the BRAT diet...Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast. However, that alone doesn't offer enough nutrition so some newer advice says to just continue feeding them a pretty normal diet. I usually do a little of both...I feed them mostly what they'd normally eat but eliminate things that will cause looser stool (like apple juice, or anything high in fiber really) and try to get them to eat bananas, rice, and/or applesauce as extras with their meal or as snacks. Also encourage her to drink often. Water is great, but broth is even better because it will hydrate her and provide nutrients, but not all 2 year olds are open to drinking broth. You could also give her pedialyte so she's getting plenty of electrolytes.
