There are special suppositories for babys to help the phlem come out and heal the coughing. Depending on your babys age the doctor could give you something like that. If they do,ask them when to give it because when my son was a baby he needed them and i gave them befor going to bed (thinking it would help him sleep better)..then i found out that they should be used in the morning because it makes the phlem loose.

U can't give babies cough medicine so the only things u can do is run a cool mist humidifier or a regular humidifier or boil a bunch of pots on your stove;u could also take him in the bathroom & run a hot shower.u can put vicks in a humidifier or u can buy drops to put in pots tht have mentholatum in them;it really helps a lot although if his cough gets worse/doesn't go away or if u think he's having troubles breathing thn take him to the doctor right away

How old is your baby? I would go to the doctor to get the coughing checked and let them give you something for the coughing. They will also be able to tell you what dose etc.
