Funny thing is I dont crave food. I crave brushing my teeth. I have normal fine teeth nothing wrong with them but this is my second pregnancy and same as with the first I can't brush my teeth enough. there is a weird "high" i get from doing it, it just feels really good and tastes really good, as soon as i'm done. I start all over. I do not have OCD nor does it run in the family, but when i'm pregnant this is the one thing that gets me. After I deliver i go back to normal, strange huh?

2 months dill pickle chips and orange juice were the only things I could keep in my stomache . I was so sick and am off. Pickles, orange juice, ginger ale, dill pickle chips, veggie and dip, harvey veggie burgers and poutines, pasta, dairy even thought I am lactose intolerant lol. Lots of salts. So sugars that makes me feel sick.Don't really like sweets trying to eat as much healthy foods as I can. Thought I love junk so much right now!

Me, too!!! I ate ice like you would not believe with all four of mine. Finally the doctor said that if I didn't stop, he was going to put me in the hospital so he could keep an eye on me. It was driving my iron levels WAY down. I used to sneak out the house to go get ice when my husband wouldn't let me have any in the house any more. LOL

With each of my children, my cravings were different. With my first, it was peanut butter and oranges. I don't care much for either one now. With my second, I wanted fish. I still like fish now, but before my pregnancy, I didn't like it. With my third,( and this is crazy) I craved those Big 'N Tasty burgers from McDonald's and V-8 Splash juices. I tried to like them after the baby was born but found that I DID NOT like either AT ALL. WIth my last, I loved Sonic Burgers. I still love those. Each baby is different.

With my first pregnancy I wanted anything spicy. I ate a lot of hotsauce and peppercinis. I also ate a lot of peanut butter. Normally spicy is not my thing and I hate peanutbutter.

With my second all I wanted was chocolate milk and pb&j sandwiches.

And with this pregnancy I have been wanting a lot of mozzarella cheese.

Now i can't eat them bc i am constantly sick and can only stomach soup, nothing with chunks just broth w/or w/o noodles. And chocolate chip cookies. Anything spicy makes me sick to my stomach, and sour stuff is tooooo sour for me this go around. Hoping for a girl this time around:)

I dont think its crazy, sometimes we crave for unusual things due to a vitamin or nutrient deficiency. so maybe you were missing out on some nutrients that are found in soil. or for another example those who crave for ice are said to be deficient in iron.

Peanut butter! I ate peanut butter and apples, peanut butter and banana sandwiches, and peanut out of the jar with a spoon. It's probably the biggest reason I gained too much weight. I still like peanut butter but in smaller portions and not as often.

The first time I had typical cravings - pickles and ice cream. It was so bad, my coworkers invested in a a gallon jar of pickles that I kept on my desk.

The second time I only wanted sherbert icecream and Sonic jalepeno peppers. Had a lot of indigestion during that pregnancy.

[deleted account]

I am still pregnant and I crave fruit and salads, now once I have my baby I will continue to eat those two things because I feel healthier now that I am eating them on a fulltime basis.

Good Luck,

*S*

OMG!! I thought it was just me!  When expecting my daughter I couldn't get enough of the mud on potatoes! I used to lick it and sniff it....yum!! (YUCK!!)  She is 21yrs old now and I have never come across any one else thats admitted to this! Everyone is always disgusted and horrified when I tell them.........especially my daughter! At least I'm not the only one!!

With my first pregnancy (twin boys), I craved that white cheese dip at Mexican restaurants...couldn't get enough of it. With my second pregnancy (a girl), I wanted potatoes. I wanted them so bad, I ate a 5lb bag every 2 days! Only gained 12lbs, too. This time, I haven't craved anything...haven't really had an appetite, even.

I still love the cheese dip and potatoes, but don't want them but every now and then anymore.

Fishsticks. i LOVED them before and during my pregnancy. now, i cant stand them. With my mother it was pickles, she loved eating them before and during, and after my birth she refused to go near them. just likes the smell. It really depends on each woman. Some women dont have a food change at all.

I still like to eat what I craved. My first pregnancy was green salads. Second pregnancy was pudding. Not the premade ones, but the instant Jello packs that I had to make myself! Couldn't stomache the premade ones. This time around, I can't get enough apple juice!!! It's all I want to drink. And that's only been in the last couple of months for that craving. This pregnancy, I felt so sick all the time, that for most of it, all I could drink was water. I guess I didn't get crazy cravings like some other people, but I thought they were odd ones, until I read some of the other cravings. I'm happy to see I'm not the only one with cravings for healthy food!! lol

I craved different thing with each of my three pregnancies. With my first child though I craved apples towards the end of my pregnancy. I could eat a 3 pound bag in a day! What's funny is that now she doesn't like apple at all, they upset her stomach!

with my first...milk...I used to go through at least 2 litres a day. I remember one time, I poured a huge pint glass full and carried it to the dinner table. I sat down to eat, but instead drank the whole thing, then got up to refill it before eating even a bite LOL.

with my second...steak...I had steak for dinner EVERY single night. my husband would call me at work and say what do you feel like for dinner tonight? I was like...are you seriously still bothering to ask?
