Lol Yeah Katherine he's my only child so far. I'm kind of leaning towards passing out candy tho just because this winter is supposed to be really harsh and its already freezin here at night and its barely sept. I decided I'm definately dressin him as a monkey though (:

We didn't do much. My son was about the same age as yours his first Halloween. We had 4 different little costumes that had been passed down to us from friends so we dressed him up in all of them for pictures. He was a monkey, a clown, a dinosaur and a skeleton. They were all adorable. We just hung out at my in-laws house, had dinner and helped pass out candy.

With my first child, we dressed him up as superman and he helped pass out candy. I did not take him trick-or-treating, because 1) he wouldn't have understood it anyway, and 2) I would feel uncomfortable taking candy that my baby obviously wouldn't be eating.

With my second child, she dressed up as a bumblebee and went along with us trick-or-treating, but did not collect candy.

I dressed everyone of them up on first halloweens and took them trick or treating. It was soooo much fun!!! 1st was 7mo's, 2nd was 1 mo old, and 3rd was 5mo's old.

for the first halloween my son was 2 months so we didn't do anything, but the next year I dressed him up like Tigger and he walked around the block trick or treating. people love small kids/babies plus you will get to eat the candy

LOL, my daughter was 2 months old. I dressed her up as an elephant while she was sleeping. Is this your only child? Take him trick or treating, people LOVE that. Oooo the cute baby, you know. Plus it will be fun for you.
