It takes time... both the lose the fat and the strengthen the muscles. And you need to do both. Doing just one isn't enough.

It isn't just fat. You also need to tighten and strengthen your muscles. Wearing a belly band or girdle type thing can help. I didn't have a c-section, but I found that wearing a belly band reminded me to stand up straight and engage my stomach muscles to get them back into shape again.
