What do I need for a 3yo and nervous mom on a plane?

Help!! My 3yo and I are flying cross country for a wedding and Disneyland. I have flown before but not since being diagnosed with anxiety disorder and PTSD, so I am a complete mess trying to prepare.

I need to know what to expect for my 3yo on the flight, and what to pack, for both carry-ons and baggage. What do I need to do to prepare my child for the trip.

I know I can ask the airline for help on the day of but I need help with everything before I get to the airport. I'm going to be a complete mess for the next 3 weeks till we leave.

Pack his favorite toys, quiet activities like books and coloring pages, if you have one a small portable DVD player or laptop that he can use/play, DVDs or favorite tv programs he likes. If he has any favorite snuggies or blankets you'll want to pack those. Definitely pack food and snacks for him to eat, I'm not sure about drinks you'll have to check with the airline to see what's allowed
