I have two children and had a c-section with both kids and now my stomach just looks like a bowl of jello. I Have never really done a good diet before having kids. I would always diet the wrong way. and now with two kids I want to make sure I do a healthy diet. How do you diet? what do eat? how often do you eat? what do you do for exercise?

Our 'diet' is our lifestyle. We eat whole, natural foods. We rarely, if ever, buy processed foods. I believe that if we eat food in it's most natural state possible (the way God created it) then we will be healthy. We eat fresh fruits and veggies, grass-fed meat and eggs (straight from the farmer), whole wheat everything, brown rice (freshly milled straight from the farmer), and non-homogenized milk and butter when we can get it. We are not perfect and we do enjoy an occasional trip to Pizza Hut.

A typical day looks like this:
-Breakfast - free range eggs and whole wheat toast and fruit and non-homogenized milk (sometimes we mix it up a bit with homemade whole wheat waffles)
-Lunch - Homemade chicken nuggets or whole wheat homemade mac-n-cheese or cheese quesadilla on whole wheat wrap and fruit
-Snack - cheese, fruit, or homemade whole wheat cookies
-Dinner - Grass-fed beef or grass-fed chicken cooked into a casserole or some dish of some sort and fresh veggies and sweet tea

Foods that we don't eat: refined sugars, corn, potatoes, white wheat foods, and most processed foods

I don't diet. However, I am a faithful gym nut. I work out 5 days a week and that makes all the difference in the world.

Sara: Sounds like my house! LOL! When I go to a birthday party or to a friend's house I eat what is served but within my diet. For example, I won't eat cake. I would *LOOOOOOOOVE* to eat cake but, obviously it's not low-carb. So when I'm offered it I just smile and say "No, thank you" and watch the kids enjoy it while I salivate in private. ;)

Sara can I ask what you do if you go to someone else's house, or get invited to a birthday party etc??

I do Atkins and it works great. I'm smaller than I was before I was pregnant and my son is only 5 months old. The trick, however, is you NEVER go off this diet. EVER. It is a lifestyle change forever. If you go on Atkins, hit your goal weight, and then just go back to eating the way you were you will gain all the weight back and then some.
