Hence why she needs to get her kid back into school and see the guidance counselor. They can help get to the bottom of the situation. If there is something going on or they just don't want to go. Either way it is against the law for the child not to be attending school, so regardless that needs to be the first course of action.

Sherri, there may be more to it than just not wanting to go. Figuring that out and working through that will help, not just making an order and fulfilling it. If it is just a matter of not wanting to go, I have to say I agree, but finding out for sure the exact reason is the first step.

At 14 it isn't optional!! Simply put them in the car and bring them to school. Walk there butts into the school and go straight to the guidance office where they will keep an eye on them to make sure they are not walking out of school. There are legal consequences if they refuse so it is your responsibility to make sure they go.

I was coming in here to say the same thing. Find out WHY she doesn't want to go. She could be being bullied, the work could be to hard, she may not like her teachers, have no friends, the list goes on. Find out what is going on.

I agree with Kelina, you need to get to the bottom of WHY he/she doesn't want to go to school. There could be any number of reasons. Until you know why, you aren't going to be able to get anywhere.
