There have been many instances of her taking money, but the thing that has made me feel the most angry and sick to my stomach is the Girl Scout Cookie money she stole. His two daughters are in Girl Scouts, and back in October she sent them over with an order form for cookies. We placed the order, and first she claimed that she lost the order form. Then she claimed only part of the order came in, but none of ours were with that order. Then she claimed she had the cookies, but would give them to us when she felt like it. Now we found proof that she never placed the order, and took the money instead. She stole from her own daughters! That makes me so angry, but contacting the Girl Scouts would just make everything worse for everyone. How can I stop feeling so angry about this? Especially when the girls ask why we didn't order cookies from them? (We did, but their mom told them that we didn't.)

do not send anything of value to her home, do not allow her into your home... do not take eyes off of her anytime you are around.... document EVERYTIME something of your stepdaughter's goes missing. you can only tell the girls that you HAD indeed ordered cookies from them... but make sure that you speak to the girl scout leader and let her know any future orders that you make and see if you can make your orders through the leader for them.

Ok, first of all, you need to be truthful with the girls, that you ordered cookies, but apparently the order got misplaced.

If the proof that you have is solid irrefutable proof, then you, by all rights, really should report the woman to the Girl Scout Council. Otherwise, they are just going to continue to allow the girls to attempt to sell cookies, giving their mother the opportunity to steal.

The girls won't be punished, as they didn't have anything to do with the theft. I'd also work on getting full custody of the girls so that they can be raised in a more stable environment...
