Hi Beautiful Mothers,

My daughter is 6months old.
Since birth I've been washing her clothes by hand & using the green Sunlight bar soap and recently switched to the yellow Sunlight bar soap.

But what I want to know is.....
Can I use the Sunlight baby washing powder instead?
Is it the same thing?
Is it milder or stronger? I ask this because the soap bar isn't really for babies.

What did You wash your baby's clothes with?
Please help.
Thanks

I have always washed all my families clothes together with the same detergent...I don't use any special detergent for baby clothes. Honestly I think that is a marketing tool for you to buy their detergent. There is really no need to wash baby clothes any different then your clothes. Your baby touches your clothes just the same as they touch theirs.

I have never washed any of our clothes by hand. You can get some very good sensitive detergents. I even have 1 child with eczema and have never had any problems.
I have 3 children and work full time so don't have time to anyway.

Thank you Amy, that fells napta sounds amazing....

I must surely try that, because this child of mine is now crawling & you know how that clothes look afterwards.

One more thing too. My mom got me a care package when I was preggo with my first. The best thing she passed down from her experience was a bar soap. Its called fells napta. (Not sure on the spelling) it will get out any stain from baby formula to blood to grass stains. Rub it on the stain with a bit of water. Use a toothbrush with the soap for tuf stains. Throw it in the wash. The stains r gone. It's saved alot of clothes over the years!! Found at your local walmart or grocery aisle in the detergent aisle. Its only a few bucks and it lasts forever!! The package is cream with green writing.

when both of my kids were younger I used deft for babies. once they were about 18 months old my husband and I use tide original scent. I washed a few of their clothes in tide and had them wear them with no problems and still have been using tide since. My daughter is almost 12 and my son is now 5. dreft does not have a scent or a dye so it's good for delicate baby skin. Hope this helps:-)
